UFC 92 3 Huge Fights

Posted on 02. Dec, 2008 by moneybags in MMA Betting Picks, UFC

The event of UFC 92 branded as the Ultimate of 2008 takes place December 27th at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Nevada.

This fight card sports 3 headline matchups.

The light heavyweight belt is on the line when Forrest Griffin faces Rashad Evans.

Rashad Evans vs Forrest Griffin

Two winners of The Ultimate Fighter TV show who have come from the bottom up, will now face off for the light heavyweight championship belt. My oh my have these two fighters come a long way. In their path to these fights Griffin had to beat Rampage Jackson in a title belt matchup and he did. Rashad Evans faced legendary KO artist Chuck Lidell and did what nobody thought, but me, is KO the man himself, placing Evans in the title shot fight.

Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera vs Frank Mir

The two coaches from the Ultimate Fighter series will face off. This year the coaches had no bad blood and showed respect for the most part. These two jiu-jitsu heavyweights can either put on an entertaining ground show or a really boring stand up fight.

Quinton Jackson vs Wanderlei Silva

I like Wanderlei in this one as the odds makers have it at a pick em. Silva has beaten Rampage twice before and Rampage has not been dominant in any of his fights except for Marvin Eastman and Chuck Lidell’s early ending. Other than that he has gone the distance. Silva will win via TKO imo.
