UFC 92 Undercard Fight Predictions

Cheick Kongo vs Mustapha Al-Turk
A very close match up as it pits two good heavyweight strikers. I would say Kongo here as I haven’t seen enough of Al Turk to think he is going to not have jitters of his first UFC, flying overseas, and going against maybe the most muscular heavyweight in the division. Kongo has improved his footwork and striking in every fight he’s had since going back to his boring loss to Carmelo Morerro.
Yushin Okami vs Dean Lister
I’m excited to see how Okami deals with Lister’s jits, but I don’t know if Dean has the striking to take Yushin out. I like Yushin Okami here as he hasn’t lost to submission in competition to similar opponents that are primarly jiu-jitsu fighters, but poor strikers. However, one caveat, is that Dean Lister has better pure jiu-jitsu accolades, but worse MMA record than say Jake Shields.
Antoni Hardonk vs Mark Burch
Antoni is such a hot and cold fighter, but he must have improved his mental state when it comes to fighting. He probably has one of the best leg kicks in the business and that is saying a lot considering his weight and height. I like Hardonk here, but I don’t know much about Burch.
Matt Hamill vs Reese Andy
Could be fight of the night as Reese Andy proved to be a gamer when he went the distance against Brandon Vera. Since both of these fighters are zombies they are basically going to keep walking towards each other and banging it out. Both have substantial wrestling backgrounds, but I think they are going to try and keep it standing just because. I’ll go with Hamill because of his heart.
Ryo Chonan Vs. Brad Blackburn
Blackburn is the IFL veteran and Chonan is the guy who did a scissor kick takedown into a heel hook to beat Anderson Silva, yeh you read that right. Despite that, I like Blackburn.

Dan Evensen vs Pat Barry
I’ve seen little of Evensen and nothing of Barry. I’ll take Dan “The Viking” Evensen in the dark on this one.
Most of these places won’t have fight odds for all of these undercard fights, but some will carry odds for some of the bigger undercard matches:
